TIKAL

It is one of the largest archaeological and urban centers of the pre-Columbian Mayan civilization. And it is part of the Tikal National Park, which was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1979.


YAXHA

It is an archaeological site and an ancient ceremonial center of the Mayan civilization. The Mayan name of the city can be seen in its emblem hieroglyph (representing the head of a parrot) and is read as Yax (blue-green), ha (water). It is part of the Maya Biosphere Reserve.

UAXACTUN

Her name was Siaan Kaan, which means Born of Heaven. This city was inhabited by the Preclassic Period.


ISLAND OF FLORES

Formerly it was known by the natives as Tayasal. The Spanish conquerors destroyed Tayas in the 16th century, leaving it abandoned until the 18th century.
